Educational & Engaging Activities

Something we pride ourselves on at St Mary of the Cross is our fantastic teaching, specialist and support staff across the school. We aim to inspire students by offering them a wide range of academic, sporting and arts opportunities. We also think we have innovative and creative teachers that allow in our small setting educational and engaging activities that in a big school you can’t always achieve. An example of that is next week’s STEAM Day which will see all students engaged in a variety of both shows and experiences including coding, making their own slime, lego master competitions and science experiments. We thank Mrs Lauren Veling for her hard work and expertise in organising this. The Courier Mail took some photos today for a story that will feature in next weeks paper that talks about class size and teacher engagement. As principal I know that we offer all students an individualised and engaging curriculum and I am very privileged to be part of including such days as the Musical and STEAM Day along with everyday in the classrooms.
