St Mary of the Cross is a learning community bound by its “One in Christ” motto and centered in the spirit of St Mary Mackillop, which embraces a truly Australian Spirituality. We strive to provide high quality inclusive Catholic education.

 

Our experienced and dedicated teachers, school officers and ancillary staff strive to provide a caring, inclusive environment to foster learning and growth in all students. Our teaching staff collaborate and plan to ensure effective and expected teaching and learning is provided across all curriculum areas, including Religious Education.

 

Our school has been dedicated to Catholic schooling for 87 years since the school’s opening in 1929 by the Sisters of St Joseph. St Mary of the Cross School proudly acknowledges and celebrates its link with the Josephite Sisters. In recent years linking the Mary MacKillop story to a uniquely Australian and Indigenous spirituality has been a rich characteristic of the religious life of the school.
